Great wine. Kyriakos Karagiozidis. Endless vineyards. Wineries full of oak barrels.
Ktima Kappa means tradition and experimentation, vineyards and lost homelands.
Our focus is always on the people: The Karagiozidis family that develops the winery, groups and friends that enjoy fine wines and great spirits, our beloved partners.
Welcome to Ktima Kappa.

It all started as a large group of friends with a shared love of nature.
In the 1990s, Kyriakos Karagiozidis, a nature lover, musical instrument maker, and carpenter with strong taste and character, planted the first vines in Angelochori and Fyteia: Agiorgitiko, Syrah, and Xinomavro from the Naoussa PDO zone.
With natural curiosity and a love for the handmade, he experimented with wooden barrels, discovering how wood and time affect the aroma and taste of wine.
Some of his first bottles are still in our cellar, silent reminders of a time that laid the foundations for Kappa Estate.
Years later, his son, Tasos Karagiozidis, after a professional career in Germany, felt the need to return to his homeland. In 2021, together with Eleni Charalambaki, they took over the estates and proceeded with the construction of the new winery in Angelochori, giving new form to the family vision.
That same year, Kappa Winery presented its first production, with six labels: AggelOinos/white, rosé, red, X-LOCO, LIAISON, KOKKYMELO. This first year left its mark, with all wines winning awards in international competitions, confirming the momentum of a new beginning.
Today, on 10 acres in Angelochori Naoussa, there is a modern winery open to visitors with high standards, accompanied by its own traditional distillery, wine tasting rooms, and a 4.5-meter-deep cellar for the ideal aging of wines.
The winery is built and designed according to the stages of winemaking: production, vinification, aging, bottling, and maturation.
At the same time, it has specially designed areas for seminars and wine tastings, a distillery, a retail outlet, and a welcoming pavilion for hosting large groups.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Wines produced with hard work in the vineyard, with the least possible intervention, with little or no sulphite”.
This is our philosophy for good wine. This is our partners’ inspiration.
We bottle some of our wines fresh. Other wines are aged for 6 to 18 months in oak barrels.
Every wine is unfiltered.
This is how we highlight the flavors and natural aromas of some fine wines.
Cheers!
I loved wines and vines when I was living in Germany. During my business trips, especially in Italy, France and Spain, I was more and more excited about wineries. Seeing the tremendous growth of Greek wine, which I promoted a lot in Germany, I thought that since there are vines in my village, in my plantation, I should go further and produce my own wine labels
From April until the end of the distillation period, we organize events and musical evenings, making each visit unique. Every moment at Kappa is an opportunity to share our passion for wine, our land, and tradition, bringing people closer to the authentic experience of our varieties in Naoussa.
We are a winery open to the public with the approval of the Ministry of Tourism and welcome schools, wine-loving groups, and individual visitors for a tasting, educational tour, guided tour, or a visit to one of the winery's musical and artistic events. Our tours are conducted in Greek, English, and German, giving everyone the opportunity to learn about the production process and history of our wines.
We maintain a traditional distillery on our premises, distilling for third parties as well, with a variety of spirits linked to tradition and quality.
The right space for every type of visit and season: the cellar for tastings and seminars for up to 15 people, the pavilion for larger groups of up to 70 people, and the courtyard for 100 people, always ensuring a comfortable and welcoming experience.

We are taking care of our vines to produce the best grapes with the technical and taste characteristics that we have determined. This approach allows us to produce our wines with the least possible intervention. We produce our wine in controlled temperature conditions, which allows the primary aromas of each variety to emerge.
The flagship red wine of the winery is produced from the Xinomavro grape variety.
These grapes come from a single vineyard in the Fytia area, at the foot of Mount Vermio.
The vineyard is cultivated using gentle farming practices and yields low per-acre yields.
During vinification, we strive to tame the intense tannins of Xinomavro while protecting and highlighting its unique aromatic richness.
The wine matures in 500-liter oak barrels for 12 months and ages for another 8-12 months in the bottle, under ideal temperature and humidity conditions in our cellar.

Liaison du Village is a blend of 50% Cabernet sauvignon and 50% Syrah. Each cultivar is harvested and vinified separatelly. After the completion of the alcoholic fermentation the wine goes through a period of 2 weeks of post-fermentation maceration. The wine is aged for 6-8 monts in oak barrels and for 6 months in bottles before being released to the market.
Rythmos 2/4 Rosé is an example of the fine aromatic expression of Xinomavro. After a controlled phase of cold maceration, the must is vinified at low temperature to protect the aromatic compounds produced. This is our fresh rosé wine with pronounced aromas of strawberry/strawberry jam and crisp acidity.
Rythmos 9/8 white is a cuveé made from 60 % Roditis and 40 % Malagouzia. Each variety is harvested and vinified separately to achieve optimum typicity. The final blend is defined by the unmistakable aromatic profile of Roditis from the high altitudes and the crisp acidity of Xinomavro.
A cuveé made from 65 % Xinomavro, 25 % Merlot and 10 % Syrah. This is a fresh wine with a pleasant aromatic complexity that can be enjoyed immediately after bottling. Pleasant density, balanced tannins.
